About Cane & Table

We See Things Differently.

Cane and Table is a community-driven guide to pubs, cafés, restaurants, and other eateries across Australia, reviewed with accessibility in mind. Whether it’s the clarity of the menu, staff awareness, lighting, or ease of entry, we provide real insights from people who’ve been there.

This site exists to empower the vision-impaired community and educate the hospitality industry on how to create more inclusive spaces.

Together we can change dining!

Accessibility

We highlight venues that prioritise inclusive design and accessible practices.

Community

Our reviews are written by and for the vision-impaired community, with contributions open to anyone with lived experience.

Change

By shining a light on the experiences of blind and vision-impaired diners, we’re encouraging cafés, pubs, and restaurants to reimagine what true hospitality looks like — where accessibility isn’t an afterthought but a core part of the experience.

Meet Our Team

Cane and Table was created by a single family with a shared goal: to make the everyday experience of eating out easier. With each one of us living with significant vision loss, we know the difference a welcoming venue can make.
