What is Cane and Table?
An accessibility review directory for Australian pubs, cafes and restaurants, for people who are blind or have low vision, have wheelchair and mobility needs, or are Deaf or hard of hearing. It tells you what a venue is actually like to walk into: the step at the door, the lighting, the noise, whether the menu can be read, whether the staff know what to do.
It is not a food review site. There are plenty of those.
How do I create an account and log in?
Choose Sign in from the header, then Create an account. You can use an email address and password or sign in with Google. You will need to confirm your email address before your first review is published.
You only need an account to write reviews or answer feature questions. Reading and searching need nothing.
Why are there so few five-star reviews?
Because five means a venue got everything right for the person who went, whatever they needed, and that is genuinely rare. A place can have excellent food, warm staff and still put a sandwich board across the entrance.
A three here is not an insult. It means most of it worked.
Something on a listing is wrong. How do I fix it?
If it is an access detail, answer the feature questions on that venue's page yourself. Your answer is dated, so a correct answer today replaces a wrong one from last year without anyone having to arbitrate.
If it is the name, address or phone number, use the contact form and we will fix it.

- A venue is missing? Add it yourself. You don't need to know anything about its access.
- An access detail is wrong? Answer the feature questions on that venue's page. Your answer is dated, so it replaces the old one.
- A review is abusive or untrue? Use the report link on the review itself, which puts it in front of a moderator with the review attached.
